Parmjit signs pledge to back the ban on fox hunting
Here Parmjit is pictured with Hilary Benn, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs pledging to support the ban on fox hunting passed in 2004.

75% of the British public support the ban on fox hunting, and the overwhelming majority of people in Gloucester agree. Parmjit voted for the 2004 Hunting Act which also banned the setting of terriers on foxes, stag hunting, mink hunting and hare coursing.
Douglas Batchelor, the Chief Executive of the League Against Cruel Sports has said, “That there should be no freedom, under the law to be cruel to animals for sport.” Parmjit agrees and unlike some of his political opponents, he will vote against any bill that seeks to turn the clock back to cruelty.
David Cameron has pledged to dedicate Government time to a bill abolishing the ban on fox hunting with dogs as a priority, if the Tories were to win the next General Election.
The Labour Party is proud to have banned hunting with dogs, and will be campaigning alongside animal welfare organisations against the Tories' proposed re-introduction of this cruel practice.
